Wine and Wedding Talk

Hi Everyone!  Happy Weekend!  Smile

It looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day around here today, but I think there is some rain in the forecast for later this afternoon.  After I finish this post, I am going to my mom’s so we can go and do some yard work at my grandparent’s house.  If you ask my grandparents, they will tell you that they do not need any help with their yard…however, we know they are just being stubborn, so we help when we can.

On another note, I was a little slow moving this morning…

…and I’m sure it had nothing to do with the bottle of wine I drank last night.

Yesterday afternoon, my BFF, Liz, asked me if I had any plans and, if I didn’t, if I wanted to go to her house to hang for the evening.  When I got home, I was super tired, but decided to go anyway because I hadn’t seen her in awhile and we needed to catch up!  Her husband works crazy shifts like Lee, so both of us fly solo on the weekends a lot.  When I was on the way to her house, she called me and asked if she should pick up a bottle of wine.  I said, “Sure!  That will be nice!”

(Liz and I at her wedding)

(Side note:  The best man at the above table may look familiar…that’s because it’s Lee.  We met during Liz and BJ’s wedding because we were partners!!)

Our night went like this…chatting, glass of wine, more chatting, another glass of wine, even more chatting, even another glass of wine, and so on. This was actually one of the first times we have gotten together since Lee and I got engaged, so we talked a lot about the wedding and the planning.  She is as excited as I am!  Our wedding talk was accompanied by episodes of “Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids”…so perfect!

I drank plenty of water before bed and felt just fine when I went to sleep.  However, I have a little pounding in my head this morning.  How did I drink all night when I was college?  I can’t even imagine doing that and being able to function the next day!

Anyway…coffee will save the day!

Well…coffee and Saved by the Bell.  A couple of weeks ago, I asked about favorite Saved by the Bell episodes.  A couple of you referenced the episode when Jessie was addicted to caffeine pills.  Well…guess what I had the pleasure of watching this morning?…

The caffeine pill episode.  So dramatic and so cheesy!

Have a wonderful day, friends!!

Have you ‘caught up’ with a friend lately?
How did you meet your significant other?
