…we are finally taking down our Christmas tree.

I know.  It’s been up far too long!  I know that’s true because all of the needles are on my living room floor.

…Rosie is proving to be a very good little pup.

We have had Rosie for almost two years and, unfortunately, she still had to be crated when we left the house.  She liked to chew things like the dining room chairs and baseboards.  Not good.  Happily, the past four days she has been left out while we were gone and all has been successful!  Fingers crossed that the days of chewing are long gone!

…I am itching to run.

Oh, to be running at the beach again.  If you know me, you know that I am a fair weather runner.  We have had some pretty frigid temps and wintery weather around here, lately, but, this week, it has been creeping up into the 30s…and I’ve been wanted to put my running shoes on and hit the pavement…now if it would only stay light later so I could actually do that!

…I have been eating nothing but warm comfort foods.

Salads just haven’t been appealing to me.  I want thick and hearty meals that stick to my ribs so we have been having crazy amounts of soups, stews, and anything that needs to be prepared in the oven or slow cooker.  I’ll be sharing this Lentil Veggie Soup tomorrow!

…I have been loving my Jazzercise classes.

(our awesome team of instructors)

We all know that the beginning of the year brings new resolutions and the gyms and fitness studios are packed!  I love this time of year because I get to meet so many new people and, hopefully, make an impact on their health and fitness!  I, also, love to see when they are still in my classes a few months down the road!

  1. I love the picture with the Jazzercise ladies! I used to go with my mom to Jazzercise when I was younger. Now she’s wheelchair bound from MS (Multiple Sclerosis), but you brought back GREAT memories. Thank you!

What’s going on in my life, you ask? Well, getting over the flu. On top of that, I had back spasms and sinus headaches! Talk about being down for the count! Now I’m just dealing with my sinuses in this crazy weather.

  2. I’ve been getting into running again but have mostly been sticking to the treadmill. I’m starting to hate it less and less, but I still long for being able to run outdoors. I’m too much of a sissy to brave it when it’s really cold!
