I hope you all are enjoying a nice long weekend! Even though this weekend signals the end of summer, it’s still always fun to be able to take a break from work and celebrate a holiday!
I will be short today since I’m still away on vacation and am writing this from my phone. I meant to pack my laptop but I changed my mind at the last minute and decided to slightly unplug. With that said, I just want to pop in and share my results from my half marathon from yesterday.
Going into the race, I had a goal time of 2:00:00. That was my pace at home so I just decided to shoot for that. In the end, I finished at 2:08:22. Not even close to two hours but I am completely happy with my results. The race was hot and it was hard…and I had to push myself like I never have before. I plan on writing a full recap in a couple of days so stay tuned for that!
Overall, I am happy with my finish. A goal definitely gave me something to work toward, but it wasn’t the end of the world when I didn’t reach it. I usually put so much pressure on myself and I am glad that yesterday I was able to see my race as a success rather than a failure!
Alright, friends…I hope you have a day of fun planned with family and friends! Happy Labor Day!
With much Love and Laughter,
Something to share: How to you react when you don’t reach a goal? What holiday plans do you have for today?
