Good morning! Happy Wednesday to you!
I’m back to work this morning after having a great day off yesterday…which is totally going to screw up my week! Last time I was off on a Tuesday, I went back to work thinking it was Monday and I couldn’t get the days of the week straight. I’m hoping that doesn’t happen tomorrow because it totally throws me off my game when I don’t know what day it is!
Yesterday, I had plans made with my parents to hit up a couple of antique shops (which ended up being a bust) and a local farm that has it’s own little store where they sell their produce as well as products from other local businesses as well! It’s one of our favorite places to go…mainly because their fresh produce is some of the most delicious that I have ever tasted! They always have such variety of goods and everything is always at the peak of its freshness!
Any time I am there, I have such a hard time not filling my shopping cart to the brim! I just want to buy everything…buuut, I’m sure my husband my wallet would not approve of that. I think my plan is to start canning like my grandma does. That would surely give me a ton of reasons to visit the farm often and load up on all of the produce I want need!
I kept some control and bought just a few goodies:
I grabbed some tomatoes, both small and large, fresh peaches, corn on the cob, and a bunch of kale that is the size of a small tree. Honestly, I tried to put it in a produce bag and, eventually, had to give up because it simply would not fit. Oh well! Kale chips, here I come!! And, on a side note…their corn is the sweetest and most delicious that I have ever had. That is no lie and my entire family will tell you the same thing! Anyway…I guess I can stop drooling over my fruits and veggies now. We also picked up some freshly baked cranberry oatmeal cookies but those didn’t last long enough to have their picture taken. Typical.
After our farm adventure, we grabbed some quick lunch, stopped by my house to check on our pups, and then headed down to my parent’s house to have dinner and spend some time with them in the evening. We actually looked through some of the wedding pictures that my parents hadn’t seen yet. Our photographer took SOOO many and it’s a marathon to get through them all in one sitting. I was more than happy to sit down and go through some of them because doing that brings back all of the amazing feelings that I had that day! Any time I think of it, I can’t help but smile!
Okay, friends! I hope you have a wonderful day and are charging through the middle of your week!
With much Love and Laughter,
