Good morning!
I hope you are all having a positive week! Here we are with another edition of Three Things Thursday! Let’s get down to business, shall we?
1. Today, 30 years ago, my absolute best friend was born.
My Bestie and I met in 6th grade and, while we started off as enemies, we quickly adjusted our attitudes and became BFFs! We have made it through grade school, high school, college, and, now, we are moving through life together. There is no one in the world who understands me like she does and I am thankful for every minute we have spent together and look forward to every one in the future.
2. Madre’s, a local Mexican restaurant, has the best.burritos.ever.
I always get their veggie burrito and load it up with rice, beans, salsa, pico de gallo, queso, and guacamole. I hadn’t had one in forever but, finally, was able to give into my craving on Monday. Boy, am I sorry I did that…now, I want one every day! Oh, and by “boy, am I sorry I did that,” I mean, “it was the best decision I made in a long time.”
3. I truly believe that baking/cooking with hand-me-downs make recipes taste better.
This is a Tupperware mat that was given to me by my mom. Note the date on it. 1977. I wasn’t even a thought back then! I remember my mom getting the mat out when we would bake cookies or biscuits together when I was little and, every time I use it now, I can’t help but think of those times with her. It makes my heart smile.
Wow. That might have been the most random “Three Things Thursday” that I have ever done. All three things had absolutely nothing to do with one another. I guess that’s the way this crazy brain of mine works sometimes. No other explanation!
Have an awesome day, friends, and here is wishing my best friend, Christa, the happiest of birthdays!
With much Love and Laughter,
Kelly
Something to share: Do you have a favorite hand-me-down in your kitchen?

I love your three things! You and your bestie look like twins and your both gorgeous! um hello! If I could live on Burritos I would, and the mat? love your nostalgia! btw I was already a 9 yo when the mat was made… ugh, I’m old on the outside but still feel completely immature on the inside.
Aww, you and your bestie are so flippin’ cute! Totally reminds me that I need to call my BFF so we can get together soon!
I absolutely LOVE digging through my mom’s cabinets and finding her vintage tupperware! She has this plastic rolling pin that she’s had for ages, but it’s the best thing ever! I swear one day, I’m gonna steal it!
Awe, you guys look like sisters!
It’s so nice to have a best friend like that
You know, I think that my mom has one of those things! My grandmother used to have this “biscuit bowl” that she would use to make them from scratch. My mom had it for so long and now I do. I also have the sifter that my grandmother used…
Memories!
OOOH I am heading back to the east coast soon (home) and shall SNAG ME SOME HAND ME DOWNS!!
I love veggie burritos, even though I am a meat eater, veggie burritos are the best, yum – now I want one.
My favorite hand me down is definitely my crock pot. It’s seen a couple of generations, but it still gets the job done.
