The Monday After

Hello, friends, and sleepy happy Monday.

Ugh.  The Mondays after the Superbowl are always so terrible.  You want to go to bed at your normal time on Sunday night because you know you have to wake up at the crack of dawn to go to work the next day, but you just can’t because you’re too busy screaming your head off, covering your eyes while yelling, “I just can’t watch!”, bowing your head to send up prayers, spilling your plate of food while you jump up off the couch, and staring at disbelief at the TV.

I just can’t believe the Ravens won.  I’m sorry to all of you Baltimore fans out there.  As a Steelers fan, I just could not bring myself to cheer for the Ravens.  I do not want them to win.  Ever.  I know that’s a little harsh, but it’s just the way life is around here.  Oh well…life must go on, I suppose.  Now comes that sad part of the year when I have to find ways to occupy my Sundays because there is no longer football to watch.  I guess I’ll take care of the one million DIY projects that I have laying around for our house and our wedding.  That should keep me busy.

Lee and I went to my parent’s house to watch the game with them.  We usually never do anything too crazy for the game because he is usually working and never gets to watch so I just hang with my parents but, this year, he was able to come, too, which was nice.  We had quite a spread for just having four people:

…veggies (of course!)

…as well as queso and chips, cheese and crackers, and no-bake cookies that somehow slipped through the cracks when I was taking pictures.  Deee-licious!

I did, however, manage to get some pictures of my parent’s cat, Shiner.  He, like most other cats, loves to always be in the know and needs to investigate everything…including the totes that I used to haul all of the food.

I guess they could be kitty carriers if they needed to be.

Today on the agenda is just a full day of work, some gym time with my favorite police officer (I still haven’t joined – just planning on paying for the day), and then dinner with our neighbors.  Not a bad way to start the week!

I’ll catch up with you all later!

With much Love and Laughter,
Kelly

Something to share:  Did you watch the Superbowl?  Who were you cheering for (if anyone!)?  What was the best thing you ate this weekend?
