A Bit of Everything

Hey All!  Smile

Get ready.  This post really isn’t going to have a theme and it is going to just be a mish-mosh of everything that has been going on in my exciting little life over the past couple of days.  I had a pretty busy weekend but it was full of some great things!

Friday

Friday, when I got home from work, I had one mission.  I had to find a printer.

I know that sounds like the most ridiculous thing ever, but it was seriously a slight crisis.  My parents and I are going to a wine festival this upcoming weekend and I had to purchase our tickets and print them out.  Unbeknownst to me, my printer was out of ink, which I did not know until I tried to print.  I figured I would just print the tix at work, but when I got there Friday morning, we were having an IT situation, and I couldn’t print all day.  Really!?  As I was leaving work, I tried two of my friends and, to my astonishment, had printers that were also either out of ink or out of commission.  Seriously!?

I walked in the house and immediately called Lee’s sister, Danielle, who said I could use hers…only I had to buy ink.  O.M.G.  I guess after college no one needs their printer anymore!?  So, in the end, I picked up some cheap ink and got my tickets printed.  What a situation!!

Before we headed to Danielle’s, Lee and I made some important stops.  First, we had to pick up my engagement ring, which was done at the jeweler’s.  Second, we ate.  Very important things to do!

After stuffing ourselves, we headed home to get some rest because we had a very early day on Saturday.

Saturday

Saturday was a pretty great day!  We took part in a golf outing that benefitted our friend, Josh, who was in a car accident a few months ago.  The day was absolutely wonderful and deserves it’s own post, which I’ll get to you later today!

Sunday

Sunday was spent at my grandma’s house, which is my favorite way to spend my Sundays!  We spent the day eating, walking around my grandparent’s property, and just enjoying each other’s company.  I didn’t take any pictures and I’m okay with that!

Monday

Yesterday, of course, it was back to work!  I was dragging in the morning and didn’t’ want to go to work, but once I got there, things got crazy and I perked right up!  It might have had something to do with the huge cup of coffee that I had too!  The day just seemed to flow and was almost flawless!  I think things are falling into place in the new office and it’s a great feeling!

After work, I met Lee for a late lunch/early dinner since he was working a double shift.  We went to a small deli near the police station that has great sandwiches.  I got a small bowl of fruit and chose the Veggie Melt on wheat for my sandwich.  It was filling and so delicious!

I headed home, cut the grass, did a couple loads of laundry, and threw together a quick tortellini pasta salad for us to have for lunch this week.  I usually throw more veggies in, but Lee is picky, so this is all I could get away with for now.

Okay, this post was all over the place, so thanks for hanging in there!  I hope your week is off to a great start!  I’ll see y’all later!

Do you make food to last throughout the week for lunches/dinners or do you cook day by day?
Do you have a favorite sandwich?

I’m very jealous of you going to the wine festival!! I really wanted to attend this year but it is my college roommates bridal shower!! I will still probably drink wine but will not be able to enjoy Franklin Hills Strawberry Kiwi!! I may have you pick me up a bottle and I will pay you back!! :)

Sounds like a wonderful weekend for you two!!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who has a fiance who is picky about his vegetables!!
