Hi Friends! Happy Friday!
This week has absolutely flown by for me! The past couple of days have been such a whirlwind with the new job and the new office! I am happy to report that things are going great and, even though it will take awhile to get our new routine down, my co-worker, Karrie, and I are muddling through things just fine on our own! I know every day will get easier and things will fall into place!
Workouts
After my arm workout from Tuesday morning, I was anxious to throw some legs into the mix, but my workout schedule gets a little crazy in the middle of the week. I teach back-to-back Jazzercise classes on both Wednesdays and Thursdays and it can get a little intense and leaves little room in my day for any other kind of workout.

Teaching back-to-back cardio + strength classes can be difficult, but it works best for my schedule to only travel there twice a week, so I do it! I really don’t mind it…unless I have a day like I did on Wednesday. It was one of those ‘my legs feel like lead’ days. I felt like I had absolutely no energy and my feet felt like they didn’t want to leave the floor. Two classes of that? Not a good time!
However, yesterday, my body totally made up for it because I felt incredible during both of my classes! My energy was high and I’m not sure my students appreciated it…they told me I made them do too many push-ups and planks. I told them there is no such thing as too many of either one of those!
Recent Eats
Wednesday night for dinner, I needed something quick and easy since I didn’t get home until almost nine. BBQ chicken sandwiches seemed like the perfect option! We had leftover chicken in the fridge, so I just shredded it and heated it up with some Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce, which is our favorite. However, I forgot to stop and get buns…so BBQ chicken on bread? We had no other choice. I threw some pickles on mine for extra oomph!

(please forgive this dark and gross picture)
Yesterday, on my way to class, I stopped to pick up some snacks to eat on my way…
On my way home, Karrie sent me a text and told me that she and one of the nurses were planning on bringing food for lunch to celebrate our first week. Office potluck! Love it! I told them I would throw something together and decided to make a fruit salad.
Strawberries, blueberries, grapes, kiwi, cantaloupe, and pineapple. I love fruit salad, but cutting and slicing everything makes me cringe. I am horrible at using a knife and it always takes me forever! Oh well. It is done and I had trouble not eating it all last night! I can’t wait for lunch today!
On my way home last night, there was the most amazing pink sunset behind me! Too bad my phone never captures exactly how big and pink the sun actually looks! I’m always so disappointed!
I hope you all have a fab Friday! Any exciting plans for the day?
If you are a fitness instructor, how do you deal with a day when you just aren’t ‘feeling it’?
What is your favorite potluck dish?

That fruit salad looks so good!
My go to potluck dish is always a pasta salad.
