Happy Monday, Friends!
I am very happy to report that….
I AM ON VACATION THIS WEEK!!!
Lee and I don’t have a whole week trip planned, but we have plans for a few small trips throughout the week. We also have plans to clean the house, basement, garage, and yard. Ugh. When did vacation involve work? I guess that’s what happens when you’re an adult.
We started our week of play on the lake with some of our besties. My friend, April, and her cousins have a couple of campsites and a boat and they invited us to spend the weekend with them! We haven’t been able to spend the weekend with them in such a long time because of Lee’s crazy work schedule. He usually only gets off once every 4-5 weekends, so making weekend plans gets very tricky. However, when Lee takes a week vacation, he gets the weekend before and the weekend after off, so we plan on making the best of it!
Our trip on the lake consisted of the usual shenanigans. Floating, lounging, wake boarding, and jumping off cliffs. Now, I must say, I am not a ‘cliff-jumping’ type of person. I always prefer to be ‘safe than sorry’, I hate heights, and I cannot stand the feeling of falling. However, everyone had jumped before and the water was 100% deep enough and there was no chance of ever hitting bottom…So I did it. It was scary, but fun! However, I lost an earring, a bracelet, and my contact fipped up into my eye. That was the end of my jumping for the day.

We left the lake a little after eight and headed back to camp to eat dinner. As soon as we all sat down, we realized that we couldn’t even keep our eyes open. We all quickly ate and, as much as I hate to admit it, were all in bed by 10:30pm! Apparently, the lake got the best of us!
It was so nice to spend the weekend with our friends because it had been way too long! Our work schedules make get-togethers so difficult, but I’m hoping that with my new job, we will be able to make more time for each other. We used to have weekly dinners together and I’m hoping those will come back!
Our vacation has started with a bang and I hope the fun will continue! I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!
Are you a dare devil and like to do risky things (like cliff jumping!)? I am a total baby!!

That is awesome you jumped off the cliff!! (I’m sorry about all that happened after) I jumped off a bridge once because everyone was doing it and said it was deep enough too! Well needless to say my butt slid on the bottom and that was my last jump as well!! It is fun to take a risk every so often! Funny how we still do things just because everyone else did it!!
I miss your face.. Can we plan something soon?

I’d totally cliff jump, but I won’t skydive. Hah. So far I have gone to London and San Diego this year for mini-vacations (long weekends). I have Scotland coming up next week and then Vegas in Sept. So excited! You look cute, girl!

I am SUCH a baby. I won’t do anything adventurous or brave. I am always too scared something is going to happen. Therefore Keith never worries about anything….he says I worry more than enough for both of us. This may be the reason I spend 10 minutes each night plucking gray hairs from my scalp.
I am the same way! I’m always afraid something will go wrong…for example, amusement parks…the entire time I’m on a ride, I’m thinking about what I would do if it broke!
