Happy Monday, Friends!
This is the first day of the last two weeks at my current job. Like I have said, I’m definitely sad to leave the wonderful people I work with, but now that I know I’m leaving, I feel excited as each day passes because it’s one day closer to not having to make the hour drive into my office! I feel like I’m waiting for the last day of school…I’m feeling that summer anxiousness! I continue to do my job. but I think I have definitely mentally checked out.
Did you all have a nice weekend? We had beautiful weather here…a little hot and humid, but I’ll take hot and humid over rainy and dreary any day! My Saturday was pretty jam-packed with fun stuff and my Sunday was very low-key. Perfect combination!
Some pics from the weekend…
Saturday
The first part of Saturday was spent running around with my mom…we started at the Farmer’s Market…
….we then checked out some antique stores…
…we stopped at home to eat some of our farmer’s market finds…
…and then headed to a nursery to pick up some flowers.
After I left my mom, Lee and I took a trip to the hospital to visit with our friend (he hasn’t woken up yet, but we go as much as we can to talk to him and let him know we’re there) and then we took a ride out on the bike to grab some dinner…

yellow rice & black beans with blackened chicken
…and we finished our Saturday night watching our friend, Donny, cross the finish line of his 70.5 mile Ultra race. He is incredible and is deserving of his own race recap post which will be coming soon!
Sunday
Sunday started with me heading to church and then dragging Lee out of bed when I got home to get in a run before he left for work. It was HOT but we got it done!

frozen strawberries, banana, blueberries, OJ, scoop vanilla protein powder
Nothing much happened after the run. Lee went to work and I hung out inside in the AC. I had thoughts of cutting the grass, but those thoughts quickly left once I saw that there was a Bridezilla marathon on TV. The pups and I hung out, napped, and watched trashy TV. It was a good day.
And….here we are, back to the grind on a Monday. Ugh. Oh well, let’s try to make today the best day possible! I hope you had a great weekend and are having an even better Monday!
What did you do this weekend?
Do you ever take days to fully relax and do nothing? Lee always tells me I need to rest, but I tell him I feel like resting makes me lazy!!…which I know is totally ridiculous!

Blueberry lemonade? I can’t even imagine what that tastes like – I bet it’s good though. This weekend I didn’t do much – I mopped the floors, vacuumed the entire apartment and cleaned. A lot. Saturday was pouring rain, so it was a perfect day to do so.
i left the house twice this weekend. both times to go to the gym. otherwise I laid around watching sports or Parks & Rec reruns on Netflix. It was a great weekend!
So exciting that this is your last week!
Hope it goes by fast.
WOW at your friend’s ultra. What a strong guy!
I had a couple of margaritas this weekend, too. When I was running a 10K on Saturday, all I could think of was a salty margarita!
