Happy Monday, friends!
I’m usually not so cheery on a Monday but, unlike most days around here, the sun is actually shining and it’s a beautiful day here…despite the fact that the temperature is in the teens. Brrrr! Also, I got a new desk at work and am moving to the other side of the office. That definitely isn’t a big deal, but sometimes it’s the small things at work that just make your day…ya know? I’m excited for some new scenery.
So…I have been on the fence about running a second half marathon at the beginning of May and, last night, I think I have finally decided that I”m going to register for it. The one hesitation I had was having to train when it was super cold…because I hate running in the cold. However, this week would mark the week that would begin my 12-week training schedule.
When I decided to run my first half last June, I was only six weeks away from it and, while I got my training runs done and finished a minute over my goal time, I could have used more time to train. I feel excited to actually have twelve weeks to train and really feel like I could not only improve my time, but also improve my endurance and make it through with no walking breaks. I’m not sure why I feel like a failure when I take walking breaks. I need to get over that.
With that said…today starts the training for my second half!!! I’m really excited and I’m even going to try and get Lee roped into running it too. We shall see how that goes!
Have a wonderful day! Hope you have a great Monday!
Do you have any races coming up or are you currently training for something?
Does anyone else get excited for little things (like my desk moving across the office?)

YAY! So excited for you!!!

Good luck with the training plan!!!
i get excited over little things too. i love to re-arrange furniture and if i find cute spots for things i get really happy. i always point it out to my fiance like “did you see i moved the candle?? doesn’t it look better there” and he just doesn’t care. haha. i’m weird.
Good luck with the training! I’m training for my race now, and I get excited every time I cross through a day on my plan.
