T.G.I.F!!!
Seriously. Is there anything better than a Friday? I guess for those who work on the weekends, there are probably more exciting days out there, but for the regular M-F 9-5ers? It’s the best! Now…if I can just make it through the work day. That’s my only goal for today!
I thought I would do a fun post today and share some of the things that I’m currently obsessing over. See, I get obsessed very easily. I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing. Most of these things are not mind-blowing, but they are currently making me happy. Being happy is totally worth obsessing over, right?
Okay…current obsessions….
1. My smoothie from last night.
It was such a crazy mix of things from my fridge, but I loved every sip of it:
~frozen mango chunks
~fresh whole strawberries (our local grocery store had strawberries BOGO!!)
~half a banana
~2 celery stalks
~scoop of vanilla protein powder
~OJ
~pomegranate juice
….no measurements…just toss together and blend!
2. The fact that I signed up for my first half marathon. I’m so excited! This will only be my third race, but I am looking so forward to training and completing (hopefully) it! I want to thank all of you fellow bloggie runners out there! I have been reading so many race recaps and each one inspires me and makes me believe that I can do it too! You are all so wonderful!
3. These pictures that my cousin posted of us when we were little. My cousins live hours away from me and I actually haven’t seen them in years. It’s times like these when I am so thankful for things like Facebook. Without it, I probably would have never reconnected with my cousins and would have never been able to reminisce about these ridiculous times!
I am on the right in both of the pictures. I’m the one with the stringy long hair.
Dear Mom,
I’m sorry I used to cry when you would try to comb my hair.
I wish I would have let you.
Love, Kelly
4. This mug.
He has made an appearance on my blog before, but he is just my absolute favorite! The saying hits home for me and is a constant reminder of how important it is to just go with the flow. I have a hard time doing that, but I am quickly learning that very rarely do Plan A’s go off without a hitch! Always have your Plan B ready and embrace it!
5. Thinking about where to go on vacation.
Last year, we went to Florida and I’m having a hard time deciding where we should go this year. Any ideas or suggestions?
I hope you all have an awesome Friday!
Do you have any current obsessions?

I love that picture of you in that fabulous hat!!! Love!
Haha! Thanks! I bought it and then had to figure out how to pack it in my suitcase for the trip home!
I’m loving your mug…& that beach hat. It rocks!!
We’re in vacay planning mode too. We have a graveyard wedding in Las Vegas over Halloween (I am totally serious) and we can’t decide whether to make a weeklong holiday out of that or also book a cruise for early next Spring. I’m all for 2 holidays, but Derek is trying to be more sensible
I don’t even know what the word sensible means! Haha!
LOVE thinking of vacation sports. We are headed to San Fran in June.. and I am so excited about it because there is SOOO much to see there!
I have never been to the west coast, but I’m hoping to get there someday!
awww! haha your cousin in the suit really looks cute and weeevil
Hmmm lately I’ve been loving carob in my breakfast!
Yay for signing up for your first half marathon! How fun! When is the race?!
That mug is too cute and so true!
Have a good weekend!!!
The race is June 11! Yikes!
I love your Friday Favorites!! That smoothie looks delicious and I love seeing pictures of ppl when they were small. Too cute
Come visit me!!!
Ummm I think you should go to Florida again, particularly Miami since I live there *hint hint*
It’s definitely a possibility!
I went to Jamaica last year and I loveddd it! We stayed at the iberostar. I think I might be going away in Nov. Fingers crossed! Have a good day!
